Questions, answered.
Waterless solar panel cleaning, our Solar Glide robots, Aqualess cleaners and cobots, all in one place.
Waterless cleaning
What makes your solar panel cleaning solutions different from traditional methods?
Our solutions are 100% waterless, eco-friendly and chemical-free, unlike traditional methods that waste water and rely on harmful chemicals.
How much water can be saved by using your system?
Our waterless technology removes the need for thousands of litres of water a year. Wet cleaning typically uses 1–4 litres per panel per wash, so the saving grows with the size of your plant. Use our savings calculator to estimate it for your site.
How much generation does dust cost a solar plant?
Research by Bridge to India found soiling can reduce a plant's performance by 3–6%. Read more in our guide to solar panel soiling losses in India.
Will cleaning damage or scratch the solar panels?
No. Our solutions are gentle and non-abrasive, so panels are cleaned without scratches or surface damage. See does dry cleaning scratch solar panels?
Are your cleaning solutions safe for the environment?
Yes. We use no harmful chemicals, so the process is safe for the environment while supporting green energy.
How does your technology improve solar panel performance?
By keeping panels consistently clean, our system ensures maximum sunlight reaches the cells, boosting efficiency and energy output.
How often should solar panels be cleaned using your method?
It depends on local conditions such as dust, pollution and weather, but our safe, waterless method can be used regularly, even daily, without risk. See our solar plant maintenance checklist and our guide to cleaning in the monsoon.
Is your solution suitable for all types of solar panels?
Yes. Our cleaning technology is compatible with all standard solar panels.
Can your solutions reduce operational and maintenance costs?
Yes. By cutting water use, removing chemicals and preventing panel damage, our system provides a cost-effective maintenance solution.
Solar Glide robots
What is Solar Glide?
Solar Glide is MROBOTICS' automatic, waterless solar panel cleaning robot. It dry-cleans panel rows with zero water, charges from its own built-in solar panel, and can climb slopes of up to 30°.
Which Solar Glide model is right for me?
LTE is manually operated with a swappable battery, for small to medium sites. BASIC runs automatically on a schedule set on its display, with cloud monitoring. PRO is fully autonomous with pre-programmed routes and a cloud dashboard, for large arrays. PRO MAX adds intelligent navigation and obstacle avoidance for the biggest solar farms.
Can I monitor the robot from my phone?
Yes. Solar Glide connects over Wi-Fi, with offline backup, and our encrypted Android app lets you monitor and control it. It sends mobile alerts for sensor or motor errors.
Is Solar Glide safe to leave running?
Yes. It has path correction and a safety stop, and it is waterproof and dustproof. BASIC and PRO MAX are IP-65 protected.
How many robots are required for cleaning my solar panels?
It depends on the size, layout and number of rows in your installation. Smaller systems may need just one robot, while larger commercial or utility-scale projects may need several. Our team provides a tailored assessment to recommend the right number for your site.
How much does a solar panel cleaning robot cost?
Price depends on the model, the number of robots and your plant layout. See our guide to solar panel cleaning robot prices in India, or ask us for a quote.
Aqualess cleaners
What is Aqualess?
Aqualess is a semi-automatic, hand-driven, waterless solar panel cleaner. It uses no water or soap, and its dual-bristle brush head combines soft and firm fibres to remove dirt while protecting the panel surface.
What is the difference between the Residential and Industrial models?
The Residential model has a 3 m or 4 m telescopic length and a 400 mm cleaning span, for homes and small systems. The Industrial model has a 3.3 m telescopic length, a wider 600 mm cleaning span, an industrial-grade aluminium body and powerful motors, for solar farms and factories.
Should I choose Aqualess or Solar Glide?
Aqualess suits homes, small systems and sites with short or broken rows, where one person cleans by hand. Solar Glide suits long, continuous rows where you want cleaning to happen automatically. Read our guide to choosing a solar panel cleaning robot.
Cobots
Which collaborative robots do you offer?
We offer the Elfin and Elfin-Pro collaborative robots, the Elfin-Ex explosion-proof cobot, the S and S50 heavy-payload robots, and the Star Mobile Manipulator.
What jobs can a cobot do in my factory?
Common first jobs are machine tending, pick and place, packing and palletising, and inspection. See our introduction to cobots in India and our machine tending guide.
Do you have a cobot for hazardous areas?
Yes. Elfin-Ex is an explosion-proof collaborative robot for hazardous areas. Read explosion-proof cobots for hazardous areas.
