Waterless solar panel cleaning in Surat

Surat led India’s cities in rooftop solar until 2026. Its textile mills, chemical plants and diamond units now need those panels kept clean, without the water and labour of washing.

Industrial Surat

Rooftop-solar pioneers, textile and diamond giants

Surat cuts and polishes 42% of the world’s rough diamonds and weaves 40% of India’s man-made fabric. Hazira adds steel, petrochemicals, LNG and heavy engineering, and Sachin and Pandesara host chemicals, dyes and textiles.

Surat was India’s number one city for rooftop solar until April 2026, and it still leads Gujarat with about 75,000 PM Surya Ghar installations. Its weaving sheds, processing houses and warehouses offer large roofs for solar.

Surat gets more rain than most of Gujarat, about 1,243 mm, but nearly all of it between June and September. In the dry months, dust and fallout from its industrial estates build up on panels.

Local conditions

Why panels lose output in Surat

01

Dry season build-up

Almost all of Surat’s rain falls from June to September. For the rest of the year, dust accumulates.

02

Processing-house fallout

Dyeing, printing and chemical units release fine particles that settle on nearby roofs.

03

Large, crowded rooftops

Weaving sheds and processing houses often have arrays that are awkward and risky to clean by hand.

Which cleaner fits your roof

Two ways to clean Surat rooftops without water

01

Solar Glide for long rows

Large factory sheds and warehouses with long, continuous panel rows suit Solar Glide. The robot travels along the row with a dry rotating brush, charges itself from its own solar panel and runs on a schedule, so nobody has to walk the roof.

02

Aqualess for broken rows

Roofs with several smaller arrays, skylights, vents or mixed orientations suit Aqualess Industrial: a 600 mm motorised brush on a 3.3 m rod that one person guides from a safe position.

03

Zero water, zero chemicals

Both clean dry. Processing houses keep their water for production.

04

We come to Surat

Our team travels from Vadodara (~155 km) to survey your roof, demonstrate the cleaner on your own panels and set it up. Support continues after handover.
